Nestled in the rolling Northwoods of Upstate Wisconsin's beautiful Lake Superior region, the Bad River Lodge & Casino welcomes visitors to big-city gaming action with all the comforts of home. Located in Odanah at the crossroads of U.S. Highway 2, just 10 miles east of Ashland, Wisconsin, the 50-room lodge is attached to the casino. The lodge itself is modest but comfortably rustic, with 50 guest rooms ranging from standard doubles to jacuzzi suites, an indoor heated pool and hot tub, and free Wi-Fi—amenities that make it appealing for both gaming travelers and families exploring northern Wisconsin.
The lodge, owned and operated by the Bad River Band of Superior Chippewa Indians, is located on a 125,000-acre reservation in Northern Wisconsin, on the south shore of Lake Superior. It is recognized by the US government as including the upper one-third of what is now the State of Wisconsin. Legend tells of a search for a place where food grows on the water; that food is wild rice. The Kakagon Slough area contains most of the wild rice beds the Tribe has harvested for centuries. It is one of the largest pristine freshwater wetland estuaries in the Midwest.
