Mother's Coffee

Mother's Coffee Information

Mother’s Coffee is a popular Native-owned, women-led café located at 167a AZ-264 Unit 5 inside the Ch’ihootso Indian Market in Window Rock, Arizona. Founded by owner Tyra Jeff to honor the matriarchal lineage of her family, the trendy and casual coffee shop is situated right in the heart of the Navajo Nation capital's busiest intersection. It specializes in handcrafted specialty coffees, loose-leaf teas, matcha blends, seasonal lemonades, and fresh pastries

  • Beverage Specialties: Highly recommended for their flavorful lattes and specialty visual items like strawberry matcha, iced cherry vanilla matcha, and hot green tea lattes.

  • The Vibe: Reviewers frequently highlight the cute, relaxing, and welcoming aesthetic, making it an excellent spot for both tourists and locals looking for a quiet place to unwind. Dine-in and takeout, free parking lot, wheelchair accessible, dogs allowed inside and outside.

Tyra Jeff chose the name Mother’s Coffee to honor the women in her family who came before her. “Coffee actually is kind of like a tribute to my grandmas and how hospitable they were how they took care of everybody and just even introducing me to coffee and yeah, so it reminds me just a lot of the women in my life and the matriarchy,” Jeff said. She believes the name evokes the women in her life and the matriarchal lineage within her family.
