Red Earth Art Center Information

Located in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, Red Earth Art Center is a destination for experiencing and purchasing Native art while learning more about the diverse cultures, traditions and contemporary experiences of Native peoples.

Operated by Red Earth, Inc., a nonprofit organization with over 40 years of history in Oklahoma, the Art Center connects visitors with Native artists and cultural education throughout the year.

ABOUT RED EARTH ART CENTER
Red Earth Art Center is dedicated to promoting the rich knowledge of Indigenous and Native American arts, cultures and traditions through education, exhibitions, cultural programming and opportunities that directly support Native artists.

The Art Center features rotating exhibitions highlighting both traditional and contemporary Native art. Visitors may experience beadwork, pottery, basketry, sculpture, textiles, paintings, jewelry, cultural items and other works representing artists from Tribal Nations across Oklahoma and throughout the United States.

The Red Earth sales gallery represents more than 50 Native artists and offers authentic Native-made artwork available for purchase. Purchases directly support the artists whose work is represented, making the Art Center an excellent destination for visitors seeking meaningful, authentic Native art.

Red Earth also provides educational programming throughout the year, including artist demonstrations, workshops, cultural presentations and special events that create opportunities for the public to learn directly from Native artists, educators and cultural presenters.

RED EARTH FESTIVAL
The annual Red Earth Festival, one of Oklahoma's longest-running Native art events, bringing Native artists and visitors together in Oklahoma City for a juried Native art market and prestigious art competition featuring traditional and contemporary work. Festival programming also includes cultural dance presentations, artist demonstrations, educational activities, youth programming and opportunities to learn more about the Native cultures represented.

The Red Earth Festival welcomes participating artists and cultural presenters representing Tribal Nations from Oklahoma and across the United States.

ANNUAL EVENTS
In addition to the Red Earth Festival, Red Earth presents events and programs throughout the year, including Red Earth FallFest, a free community celebration featuring a Native art market and intertribal youth powwow, and the annual Red Earth TreeFest holiday exhibition.

Visitors are encouraged to check the Red Earth website and social media for current exhibitions, upcoming events and educational programs.

VISITOR TIPS
Admission to Red Earth Art Center is free. The Art Center's exhibitions change throughout the year, so repeat visitors can regularly experience new artists and artwork.

Artwork in the sales gallery is Native-made and available for purchase, with sales directly supporting participating artists. Red Earth Art Center is located in downtown Oklahoma City and is within easy reach of many of the city's major attractions.

Closed weekends except for scheduled special events. Holiday and special-event hours may vary.
