San Manuel Pow Wow takes place near historic U.S. Route 66 in San Bernardino, California. Each fall, the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains come alive as dancers, singers and visitors gather on Yuhaaviatam homelands to celebrate Native culture, community and living tradition.

ABOUT SAN MANUEL POW WOW

The event reflects the landscape that has shaped Serrano life for generations. The Yuhaaviatam people are the original caretakers of these lands, whose ancestral territory spans the southern California highlands where mountains, desert valleys and vital springs meet. San Manuel Pow Wow honors this enduring relationship between people and place while creating space for intertribal exchange and cultural renewal.

Founded in 1996, the powwow has grown into one of Southern California’s largest. Visitors are invited to experience Grand Entry, competition dancing, drum groups and bird singers alongside Native arts, beadwork and food vendors. The atmosphere is both celebratory and meaningful, offering an opportunity to witness living culture that continues to thrive today.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE
