Harrah's Ak-Chin

Harrah's Ak-Chin Information

Surrounded by the sweeping expanse of the Sonoran Desert, the Ak-Chin Indian Community of the Maricopa Indian Reservation honors the heritage of the Akimel O’odham, Tohono O’odham, and Hia-Ced O’odham peoples, whose ancestors have lived on these lands for a long time, long before the federal government formally recognized their claim with the establishment of the reservation in 1912.

Just 37 miles south of Phoenix lies Harrah’s Ak-Chin, a modern desert oasis and premier resort destination. The resort weaves Ak-Chin culture into its design, featuring striking, oversized murals of tribal elders and desert landscapes that pay tribute to the community’s deep roots. Guests can choose from five distinct dining experiences, including the signature steakhouse Chop, Block & Brew—where mesquite-grilled specialties take center stage—and Oak & Fork, known for its refined pairings of wine and light fare. For a casual dining experience, enjoy southwest-inspired flavors at Agave’s Restaurant, dine indoors or relax on our patio with poolside views. Copper Cactus Grill offers a casual dining restaurant with classic eats from early morning to late night

Entertainment pulses through the Events Center and Lounge, while the sun-drenched outdoor pool provides a refreshing retreat from the desert heat. Visitors can also explore a curated boutique showcasing handcrafted Native American jewelry. For relaxation, The Spa at Harrah’s offers a fusion of tradition and innovation, such as the rejuvenating Cactus Cooler nail treatment, which uses native cactus gel to hydrate and tone.

Located just 3.6 miles from the town of Maricopa, Harrah’s Ak-Chin is both an escape into the serenity of the desert and a vibrant celebration of the Ak-Chin Indian Community’s enduring legacy.
