The Prairie Star Restaurant & Wine Bar, an award-winning establishment, is located in an historic 100 year old home with 18” thick hand-made adobe walls and beautiful locally-hewn viga & latilla ceilings. The structure has been lovingly expanded and restored to preserve the historic New Mexico Mission style architecture.
Prairie Star is nestled along the lush green fairways of Santa Ana Golf Club and features several dining rooms and a lovely patio with a wide-open view of the spectacular sunsets against the Sandia Mountains.
Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Myles Lucero (Isleta Pueblo), masterfully creates stunning contemporary cuisine and changes the menu seasonally to utilize the freshest meats, fish and produce available. Each dish is carefully crafted for unique flavor combinations using organic and sustainable ingredients. Locally produced ingredients are sourced to the extent possible, including blue corn products grown and processed on the lands of the Pueblo.
The newer Wine Bar addition is known for its superb wine list, and with a 32 handle Cruvinet, an extensive by-the-glass selection is available. We also feature a retail bottle shop and unfinished bottles purchased with dinner can be corked and taken with you as well.
Prairie Star also boasts a 2,500 square foot banquet room and can accommodate up to 180 guests. The event department can expertly assist in planning and hosting special occasion dinners or business meetings. Our property has been a favorite of New Mexico brides for three decades, and we can host weddings of up to 400 guests outside using inviting tents on our renowned “wedding lawn”.

The restaurant, housed in an old adobe mansion, offers an unforgettable dining experience. Sit back and take pleasure in new beginnings and new experiences all while enjoying sweeping views of the Santa Ana Golf Course and Sandia Mountains as the light plays a kaleidoscope of colors at sunset.
Our banquet facility is acclaimed for hosting tasteful events ranging from social parties and corporate retreats, to wedding ceremonies and receptions. The indoor facility can accommodate 170 guests and our outdoor location can entertain up to 400 guests.
Prairie Star also has private dining rooms for smaller dinner parties, cocktail parties, business meetings and receptions. We can book events seven days a week- breakfast, lunch or dinner, buffet or plated dinners.
